The C &C 40 entered production in 1978.  MIGUELITO was one of last to leave  the factory.  The C & C 40 has good all-around performance, upwind and downwind, and in both light and heavy winds.

The deck sports double life-lines and is easy and safe to navigate.

Keel stepped mast, 2 sets of triple rope clutches lead lines aft to cockpit.

The bridge deck is not only functional in big seas, but affords extra lovely headroom below.

The interior is built up of teak-faced ply - with a teak and holly cabin sole.

The V-berth forward can be made into a double with an insert, and in the aft cabin is the quarterberth.  Wide enough to form a very tight double or a very big single.

The salon has very large with double leaf centerline dinette.  Seating for 8 without any crowding.

The head compartment is good-sized, and is accessible from either the main cabin, aft of the nav station, or privately from the aft cabin.

6 Opening Deck Hatches provide excellent ventilation.
